Alison is a seasoned non-profit leader with deep experience in the Washington, DC charter sector and education reform, as well as in the non-profit space generally. She has extensive experience in events, operations, strategy, fundraising, and all aspects of non-profit management. She currently provides consulting support to charter schools, education organizations, and other non-profits, drawing on her skills in project and event management to provide additional capacity to school and non-profit leaders to support their missions. Her problem-solving skills and strategic thinking combined with her experience and level head under pressure make her a valuable resource to education and non-profit leaders.

Prior to consulting, Alison spent over a decade supporting the DC Charter School Alliance (formerly FOCUS) in a variety of senior management positions, including Chief of Staff, COO, and Interim co-Executive Director. While on staff, she oversaw the successful merger of FOCUS with the DC Association of Chartered Public Schools, which created the DC Charter School Alliance, and has worked with school and education leaders across the city who share her same vision of ensuring all students have access to high quality public education options. She has managed in-person and virtual conferences, fundraisers, trainings, and other events; overseen the development and implementation of various systems to increase efficiency and improve outcomes; managed fundraising and grants; and worked with staff, board members, funders, and other stakeholders on key projects to ensure organizational success.  She also has hands on experience as an employee of a DC charter school designing and overseeing programs and responding to student, administration, and stakeholder needs.
